Ah! I am brand new to learning flutter and was trying to change the Flutter channel with the command:
flutter channel master
And it kept failing with:
git: remote: Internal Server Error.
git: fatal: unable to access 'https://github.com/flutter/flutter.git/': The requested URL returned error: 500
Switching channels failed with error code 128.
thought I was doing something wrong and spent some time troubleshooting.

The camera is a common source of pain in native development, especially in Android, where the possible hardware and software range is too broad. camera package does a great job of abstracting over all these discrepancies and the somewhat cumbersome native Camera API, but there are some problems. For example, we ran into this issue and had to downgrade to version 0.8.1+7 for now.

Here is an issue that explains it better, if you look at the last comments the devs explain that it wasn't possible to cherry-pick de changes to stable 2.5 branch.
So I was banned from a subreddit because I am active in another? I am new to reddit but is this a common thing?

flutter is the program used to build it not the name of it. https://flutter.dev/2 projects | reddit.com/r/mildlyinfuriating | 24 Nov 2021
They're joking. Flutter is an open-source framework for developing apps that was created by Google. Here's the site for it.

Clone the flutter code from the repo: git clone https://github.com/flutter/flutter.git -b stable (remove the "-b stable" if you want the newest non-stable version)

I would like to note that the code written on the multiplatform Flutter framework, like no other, requires constant refactoring and decomposition almost from the beginning of the project.

I'm learning C# so I can make cross-platform GUIs
2 projects | reddit.com/r/csharp | 25 Nov 2021
I’ve been working on some projects lately that involves GUI applications for a Raspberry pi, WASM, and UWP. I’ve chosen to follow the Uno-Platform as my main go to although I am still experimenting. I didn’t have the best results initially using Avolonia UI on the raspberry pi although I haven’t dove as deep into it as I had the Uno-Platform. Uno has a very large and active development community and their documentation is up to date with the newest Microsoft products. This includes the team actively working on .Net 5, .Net6, .Net Maui, and WinUI3. They provide many samples on GitHub as well as useful examples written by supporters on their “blog” section over at Uno Platform Website
.NET 6.0 and .NET MAUI

Basically, you use .NET 6. Xamarin.Forms is the stable library that's available, but there is a preview of MAUI that you can use or you can upgrade a Xamarin.Forms app to MAUI later. Xamarin.Forms and MAUI are both just libraries and there are other libraries as well like Uno (https://platform.uno).

There are many modern frameworks available. I would look into .NET MAUI (was supposed to come in final release now in November, seems to be delayed some months), AvaloniaUI, Photino, Uno Platform, or looking a little ahead, check out Blazor for Desktop, which should come officially with .NET 6 this month and together with MAUI should give you the possibility to write one application for both Web, Mobile and Desktop, if you are willing to deal with it all.

Someday if you want to also run your application on Mac or Linux you can extend it to those platforms using Uno Platform which is designed to extend WinUI to other platforms. That will also give you the possibility of using web and mobile as well if want.
