But for those who don't, Flutter is an open source framework that we can use to build a natively compiled, cross-platform application with a single codebase. It's written in a brandnew language called dart.

Ah! I am brand new to learning flutter and was trying to change the Flutter channel with the command:
flutter channel master
And it kept failing with:
git: remote: Internal Server Error.
git: fatal: unable to access 'https://github.com/flutter/flutter.git/': The requested URL returned error: 500
Switching channels failed with error code 128.
thought I was doing something wrong and spent some time troubleshooting.

The camera is a common source of pain in native development, especially in Android, where the possible hardware and software range is too broad. camera package does a great job of abstracting over all these discrepancies and the somewhat cumbersome native Camera API, but there are some problems. For example, we ran into this issue and had to downgrade to version 0.8.1+7 for now.

Here is an issue that explains it better, if you look at the last comments the devs explain that it wasn't possible to cherry-pick de changes to stable 2.5 branch.
So I was banned from a subreddit because I am active in another? I am new to reddit but is this a common thing?

flutter is the program used to build it not the name of it. https://flutter.dev/2 projects | reddit.com/r/mildlyinfuriating | 24 Nov 2021
They're joking. Flutter is an open-source framework for developing apps that was created by Google. Here's the site for it.

Clone the flutter code from the repo: git clone https://github.com/flutter/flutter.git -b stable (remove the "-b stable" if you want the newest non-stable version)

Which WYSIWYG editor do you guys prefer?

I haven't done it in Svelte but I'd be inclined to use ProseMirror. I'm a fan of Marijn Haverbeke's work.

You pretty much never need to touch contenteditable yourself, if you are going to be building a custom editor. It's still not something easy by a long shot, but using something like ProseMirror is going to be much less frustrating. (though still hard and time-consuming)

I have created a library to deal with contentEditable called bangle.dev which in itself is an abstraction on top of the popular https://prosemirror.net library.

Strategy for implementing a simple rich text editor in which every word automatically gets wrapped in a span?
2 projects | reddit.com/r/reactjs | 19 Sep 2021
Take a look at something like Prosemirror. With something like this, you can essentially define how text will be parsed and rendered, which will then form what your AST looks like. Prosemirror could then handle the rendering for you, and you interact with Prosemirror and it's utilities to manipulate the AST, and thus the rendered editor.

Dude, go with ProseMirror. It has all the building blocks you'll need to accomplish what you folks are after. There's also the wrapper project TipTap which makes it a bit easier to work with in TypeScript.
Ask HN: Open-source notion.so like block editor?
5 projects | news.ycombinator.com | 28 Aug 2021
Prosemirror implements blocks like notion, and has a MIT license. Mind that it's not super intuitive stuff, at least for me, but it's a very powerful API. There are react implementations in the wild.
