Need help with flickity slideshow transition CSS please. I am working on a Shopify site and the theme has a built in flickity slideshow section, it only has one transition effect which is slide but I want it to be fade instead. Could anyone help?
There is also a hacked fade version as discussed here: https://github.com/metafizzy/flickity/issues/26

Showing variant images based on alt text
Search for "class OptionsSelection extends HTMLElement". That should get you to the correct area of the JS file. Retina uses Flickity for the main image carousel and thumbnail carousels so should get familiar with that. https://flickity.metafizzy.co/

Do developers create carousels from scratch most of the time?
As always with development, it depends. Some carousels need a lot of features to meet requirements. If you need something really simple, use a css one. If you need a complex one e.g flickity then use that as making your own version of that would be unfeasable.

How to link to external JS files in a SvelteKit Project
I'm working on a SvelteKit project, and I'm trying to import Flickity through CDN. I need to include the following element: ``, into my project, but SvelteKit doesn't allow multiple instances of a script element inside a single component.

Is it possible to have a carousel lazy load its images without using jQuery?
Ah I see, thanks for the insight! From what I can see, Flickity supports lazy loading and is vanilla JS https://github.com/metafizzy/flickity
- anyone know a good slider plugin?

Does Tailwind UI have carousels?
As mentioned in other comments, embla carousel is pretty good. Keen-Slider is also a good alternative. It's been used by the Vercel team in some of their sites, so that's a good endorsement. I've used it in some projects and I've been happy with it, not a heavy dependency and it's pretty easy to costumize with tailwind.

How do you create this slider?
They're using https://keen-slider.io/. Though pretty much any slider/carousel can do this.

Looking for a select 'spinner' similar to the timer on iphone.
I know that keen-slider has an example for iOS-inspired date/time picker. I haven't used it myself though.
