Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

In my overlay I have ebuilds for app-text/vale, dev-util/actionlint and dev-util/dive. I work on moving them to the official GURU overlay.

Are Flatpaks evil for some reason? There is a package not on Gentoo that I need, but it has a Flatpak. It would be the only Flatpak on my system, but I've tried really hard to keep it as minimal as possible, so I'm not sure if using a Flatpak would negate all my efforts.
I don't know much about flatpaks, but if it's retroarch you want there is a Gentoo overlay for it. Check out https://github.com/stefan-gr/abendbrot.
