Next big Eth upgrade
Dencun upgrade with EIP4844 is likely later this year, which will bring lower cost Layer 2 transactions. Follow the readiness of EIP4844: https://github.com/ethereum/pm/blob/master/Breakout-Room/4844-readiness-checklist.md Prague + E starname upgrade is probably 2024, possibly focused on EOF, then followed by a Verkle tree focused upgrade, but none of this has been decided.

ETH Questions (no flame pls, just trying to learn)
Proto-Danksharding (aka EIP-4844) is the first implementation of sharding. From the latest core dev calls, it did not make it into the next update ("Shanghai" Q1/Q2 2023) but should be priority for the next one ("Cancun"). This does not mean dev works on 4844 is stopped but the delivery of staking withdrawals have priority and there is no delay due to testing protodank sharding. see notes. You can track the status here (mostly stillWIP).

Choosing The Right Ethereum Layer 2 Solution For Your Use Case (Arbitrum, Base, ZKSync Era, Linea ...)
Hey u/simple_yam here is a link to the details
-
Any help would be much appreciated
If you google "loopring" then the top site is "loopring.org" not "loopring.io" so I'll ask you again, not to be a dick, but try and figure out what went wrong...
With regards to the loopring site, maybe I'm onto nothing here, but if you ended up on loopring.io you had to get there somehow... maybe you clicked into loopring.org and then loopring.io from there?
-
Why the hell are you still on layer one?!
Layer 2 rollups are ready today! Including Loopring, zkSync, Optimistic Ethereum, and Arbitrum. No more of that sidechain/sister chain business, we can support Ethereum by moving our assets to any of these layer two chains and increasing Liquidity incentives. The more of us on L2 the better the sandbox becomes.

Not sure if opensea is also a new partner, but can anyone explain what is this? Check both screenshots. Also today on twitter I saw opensea plans for a L2 solution as gas price is high.

This Needs To Be Said....
Again, why the downvotes? You just have to go to the repos and see yourselves: - protocol issues: https://github.com/Loopring/protocols/issues - pro web application issues: https://github.com/Loopring/dexwebapp/issues

NFTs will be live soon . Update in the GitHub.
