If you don't want to use Retroarch then I'd recommend MD.emu. It's paid on the Play Store but you can download it for free from the developer's GitHub https://github.com/Rakashazi/emu-ex-plus-alpha/actions you will need a GitHub account to download.

As to specific emulators for the older stuff I recommend the .EMU emulators from Robert Broglia. You can get them all for free on his GitHub page https://github.com/Rakashazi/emu-ex-plus-alpha/actions/runs/4780747948 but you will need a GitHub account to download them. If you end up liking them then you can buy one or more to support the developer.

As for an easy to use emulator go for MD.emu by Robert Broglia. You can get it for free, along with his other emulators on his GitHub page https://github.com/Rakashazi/emu-ex-plus-alpha/actions/runs/4399740415 where you will need a GitHub account to download. If you like them though consider buying them on the Play Store to show support.

PEGASUS: I'm clearly a noob, and would appreciate help. I'm currently setting Pegasus as frontend. Many systems work, but those who doesn't gives me the following error (Pic 3). The error I get, is in Pic 3. Can any Pegasus user, please help? My metadata file, causing the error, is in Pic 2.

Sorry I got home really late. Mine is running mupen64fz instead of mupen64ae but it looks like ae is a front end for fz bast on what I saw here: https://github.com/mupen64plus-ae/mupen64plus-ae. So not sure if this will help but mine looks like this.
does that mean you can play with someone online?
