Nodemailer has zero dependencies
I'd recommend the email-templates library to use with Nodemailer. You can bring your own template language (Pug/EJS/Markdown/whatever) and Email-Templates takes care of the inlining and other annoying boilerplate that needs to happen for email formatting.

For some reason, it really bothers me when people don't zero out the microwave timer.
I have multiple mail accounts for random shit and personal and professional stuff. I used clean.email in the past, but decided against it after the Unroll.me scandal. If you use Gmail, you could try Gmail-Unsubscribe. Its FOSS. I use a bunch of outlook rules and block random senders right away to stay on top of spam. Outlook's built in spam filter and my company provided plugin are all I need currently.
What are some alternatives?
