dogecoin-wallet-new VS wallet-decrypt

So, if it was android, there aren’t many options. Have a read of the docs on https://github.com/langerhans/dogecoin-wallet-new and see if anything looks familiar.

.. which is fine except it cannot deal with QR codes generated by the Dogecoin Core app: https://github.com/langerhans/dogecoin-wallet-new/issues/78 would be a big win for dogecoin ecosystem usability if this pull request was incorporated into an updated release.

Last time I used it (a week and a bit ago), no. https://github.com/langerhans/dogecoin-wallet-new also says the last release is from February, so I don't think this has been updated yet.

I installed dogecoin wallet android 4.0.0 (https://github.com/langerhans/dogecoin-wallet-new ) from f-droid

great, with this improvement, and once the mobile wallet actually works with QR codes from the main app (see: https://github.com/langerhans/dogecoin-wallet-new/issues/78 ) dogecoin will be back to being more usable!

Showing another new DOGE user how "easy" it is to transfer between Doge core client and the android wallet I ran smack into bug https://github.com/langerhans/dogecoin-wallet-new/issues/78 where the DOGE Android wallet cannot accept QR codes produced by other DOGE wallets, more egg on this DOGE holders face :-)

I had some success adapting this python script to skip the decryption part and output my key pair from the protobuf file format - which is reassuring but not actually helpful as I now need to get this into a format I can import into something! (However, let me know if you want a copy of my version to check this).
