Setup Linux server to send email
I tried using this container and following the instructions to setup Gmail OAuth (https://github.com/bokysan/docker-postfix) but have been unable to make it work so far. I actually have an open issue there with what I've tried so far ( Unable to send - Gmail OAuth ยท Issue #117 ยท bokysan/docker-postfix (github.com) )

How do you manage/archive your growing stack of mails? Looking or a unified mailbox.
I have used Roundcube docker-compose-fpm.yaml, which looks like it can be easily extended with docker-mailserver
- Is building a simple SMTP (email) server that difficult?
-
For those using one, how would you rate the difficulty of setting up a self-hosted e-mail server?
However... For a live fire, in production setup I would push people to use a meta package like docker-mailserver, mailcow, mail-in-a-box or modoboa as it's better to have someone else set the sane defaults to prevent you from missing that one line in you config.

Choose the right email solution
docker-mailserver
Privately I use https://github.com/tomav/docker-mailserver and an external Roundcube instance, which is ideal if you have only a few mailboxes. For updating, a docker-compose pull and a docker-compose up -d are all you need. They also offer a script that makes administration much easier. It can be used to manage mailboxes and aliases as well as things like DKIM. If you have a larger number of users, Mailcow is also a good option, but it is also much more complex and resource hungry.
Yes, spam learning is documented on the Wiki.
