Unable to ping dockerized vpn client from other host vpn client (other computer - non dockerized vpn client)
1 project | reddit.com/r/docker | 11 Sep 2021
Hi - I have dockerized openvpn server (https://github.com/kylemanna/docker-openvpn) on vps 1 where I generated 3 different certificates for 3 different clients (notebook, vps2(dockerized client) and vps3) - each of those have static vpn ip done by these commands (https://github.com/kylemanna/docker-openvpn/blob/master/docs/static-ips.md).

Simplest way to setup VPN in cloud cluster?
1 project | reddit.com/r/devops | 14 Jun 2021
Later, I found this gem of an image - https://github.com/kylemanna/docker-openvpn . U've since modified the original playbook to simply setup this docker image instead.
I would like to create a remote cloud storage device using my Pi. Like my own personal Dropbox. All suggestions are greatly appreciated :)

Kraken released a great and easy to understand guide to running your own Bitcoin full node and why it is important!
1 project | reddit.com/r/BitcoinBeginners | 1 Dec 2021
Great. I run a node on a raspberry pi using Umbrel. Highly recommended for newcomers. Fun easy and cheap weekend project. I travel fulltime and all my phone and desktop wallets are connected to it. I can also access the node itself, and the great selection of cool apps on Umbrel, using a Tor/Onion browser from anywhere in the world.
Can we trust the ledger?

Out of interest and to follow their development I am also running an Umbrel Node. The big advantge is the extremely easy setup. The main disadvantages is their distribution/license model, since you're not allowed to change the software regarding to your wishes/needs. Simply put, they "dictate" the fullnode rules anyone with Umbrel has to follow, which is actually against the core idea of Bitcoin, namely being part of the overall consensus finding, where you express your "vote" by running a certain fullnode ruleset. Nevertheless until now Umbrel went for all the major directions I would have also taken. But as I mentioned, I am mainly running and relying on MyNodeBTC, so once Umrel turned "crazy" I would simply shut it down and that's it. Nevertheless. For setting up a first fullnode it might otherwise be a good way to go.

If you’ve restored your umbrel using a mnemonic, and you’re using the current, or recent version, I would guess you hit this issue. Scroll to the bottom to see how someone has resolved it. https://github.com/getumbrel/umbrel/issues/1077
Can you help me improve pixeldrain?

I tried to set up my own BTCPayServer node using their software, but that attempt failed. Found out it was my hardware, never got to retry it (ended up sticking with getumbrel.com).

Running a Node? Why?
1 project | reddit.com/r/BitcoinBeginners | 5 Nov 2021
A node also allows you to run The Lightning Network, to open fully self-custody lightning channels and connects to your phone so you can make payments anywhere. You can also run a self-hosted private blockchain explorer for private blockchain exploring purposes. And software packages like Umbrel make all that very easy to do. getumbrel.com
