docker-ipsec-vpn-server VS rust-musl-cross

I'm currently using hwdsl2's VPN Docker container on my server so that I can access my internal network resources while away from my home network. However, it seems that if I connect through my DuckDNS pointer, the connection takes a long time to establish (iOS/macOS will simply say "Connecting..."). I know that this would be a question to raise an issue about, which I did so here. In a nutshell, the developer of the container believes that it would be an issue on DuckDNS' end.

My suggestion: Don't open up ssh to the world, set up a vpn to your home network instead, then connect to your server just as if it was on the loc network. Here's a possible option to setting up a VPN using docker: https://hub.docker.com/r/hwdsl2/ipsec-vpn-server

Is my best bet just to use (rust-musl-cross)[https://github.com/messense/rust-musl-cross] as the builder image?

rust-musl-cross: active as last commit was 10 days ago. It said it based on rust-musl-builder. But this repo was created years ago. So why would this exist when there is also rust-musl-builder. What are the differences compared to rust-musl-builder and muslrust?

The example that is provided in the AWS Rust runtime repository shows them using a custom linker and rustup target in order to cross-compile for x86-based lambdas. I attempted to dive into how to get a arm64-based linker, but in the process of trying to figure out how to get that linker installed locally (no convenient packages for Ubuntu, sorry), I stumbled across a project that provides cross-compilation tooling for various platforms via Docker.
