USB-C hubs and my slow descent into madness
I bought a DisplayLink dock for my ubuntu laptops (2015 XPS and 2021 XPS) and it doesn't really work with either. It's quite maddening.
It requires a strange driver I would've preferred to avoid. I tried a strange workaround on both and neither really works; one still doesn't display through the DisplayPort or HDMI, the other doesn't work with the M.2 2280 built into the dock.

Yoga Slim 7 Pro AMD vs Intel (for Linux users)
I have a Dell dock, don't know the exact model, but it's one that uses DisplayLink technology. Without installing any drivers, the peripherals connected to the dock as well as charging all worked on both models, but the display only worked very rarely after reconnecting the USB-C cable several times. After installing this driver, the display also works fine. The driver process has quite high resource usage, but it's worth it imo. On the ACH5, for some reason the fans turn on when the dock is connected and it also charges notably slower than the Intel model. I assume this is also related to the ACPI error described below. Furthermore, when turning the machine while charging via the dock you need to press Esc to skip a notice that the charging capacity is less than 95W.

Universal installer script
I've created a set of scripts that can install multiple different distros from an Arch ISO! It is very basic right now but I have lots of ideas to improve and I would love ideas from the community. Here is the GitHub link: https://github.com/EmperorPenguin18/linux-installer
