Best open-source software to clone Windows 10 Bitlocker encrypted machine, safe for company purposes?
1 project | reddit.com/r/sysadmin | 17 May 2022
There's also an open implementation of Bitlocker that should allow you to mount the image (or disk) on Linux.

If you're comfortable with Linux, it is possible to mount a bitlocker encrypted drive on Linux, then just extract the files. See Dislocker - https://github.com/Aorimn/dislocker

Linus Torvalds suggests Paragon submit a git PR for the fs/ntfs3 driver

You could use dislocker (https://github.com/Aorimn/dislocker) but I do not consider it trustworthy. I would not let it write to a NTFS partition that actually contained important data. I just wondered, because Paragon likely delivered a product close to enterprise quality standards incl. testing, how they handled this.
Possible to open a bit locked drive encrypted in windows? I have a second external drive that I have encrypted.

Hey I have a problem with my external hard drive
1 project | reddit.com/r/DataHoarder | 25 Apr 2021
If it is Bitlocker, you could try Dislocker to read it on Linux. (Note that I've never used Bitlocker and so cannot attest to the usefulness of this tool.)
Questions regarding NTFS & BitLocker on Linux.
1 project | reddit.com/r/linux4noobs | 3 Apr 2021
I think Dislocker (i think it's in ubuntu's universe repo) is the most popular linux bitlocker software but i'm not aware of any actively maintained guis for it.
Fedora 36 updated kernel and now showing this screen

I got this too. Best way to solve is clean install. If you have Windows in other disk you can use this to recover your files: https://github.com/maharmstone/btrfs
Switching to Manjaro Linux and I had a few questions.

Better use own library for linux or format to btrfs and install windows driver https://github.com/maharmstone/btrfs
Only Microsoft can give open source the gift of NTFS

Not EXT4 - but if anyone is using a Btrfs drive along with Windows I can only recommend this guy's open source driver: https://github.com/maharmstone/btrfs
Is it okay to access files of win partition in dual boot?
1 project | reddit.com/r/Fedora | 3 May 2022
There is btrfs driver for windows available https://github.com/maharmstone/btrfs but can't recommend other than read permission for accessing other systems files.
Is there a way to format my microsd in BTFRS (~40% space savings) with emulators and roms BEFORE my Deck arrives?
2 projects | reddit.com/r/SteamDeck | 30 Apr 2022
1 by default. I found these drivers someone's made after a quick search, but you might not want to rely on them.
Alternative to NTFS for dual boot?
2 projects | reddit.com/r/linuxquestions | 26 Apr 2022
There actually is a way to run btrfs and ext4 on Windows, but I probably wouldn't recommend them as they likely won't have the same speed and stability as a natively supported file system format.
NTFS3 driver is orphan already. What we do?

I believe they're referring to this: https://github.com/maharmstone/btrfs5 projects | reddit.com/r/linux | 26 Apr 2022
There is WinBtrfs, but I don't know how good or stable it is.
Pre-formatting an SD card for the Deck
1 project | reddit.com/r/SteamDeck | 25 Apr 2022
You can use btrfs (https://github.com/maharmstone/btrfs) and format it using a format that can be recognized by the SteamDeck and Windows. Process is a little bit technical though.
btrfs_windows doesn't work?
1 project | reddit.com/r/batocera | 22 Apr 2022
I've also tried installing WinBtrfs 1.8 from https://github.com/maharmstone/btrfs - no success.
