are we IPv6 ready?
Unfortunately I've found some P2P programs that don't work under IPv6, like Deluge, EiskaltDC++ or the Ed2k/Kademlia network.

As empresas estão 100limites.
Alternativas boas: qBittorrent, Transmission, Deluge
- Radarr suddenly no longer connects to Qbittorrent

List of CLI programs (follow-up to GUI). Feel free to make suggestions.

Daria Restoration Project?
It's pretty easy. Just install an app (aka torrent client). I suggest Transmission on Mac or Deluge on Windows. Then open the file from my initial comment using that app and after a brief wait the show will start downloading. If you use it for more than this one torrent, I suggest getting a VPN so your ISP doesn't send you a cease-and-desist letter.

Back to old piracy.
PSA: Please do not install uTorrent. It's full of ads and malware. Please do all your piracy using one of the many wonderful free and open source torrent clients out there, such as Transmission, Deluge, or qBittorrent.

Some vpns are built into docker containers, such as https://github.com/haugene/docker-transmission-openvpn

My first homelab in over a decade. 15yr and 12yr kids will be doing it with me this time. Any suggestion on what we should start with to run? We will have a K8s cluster.
It starts with use a vpn to download, the service is less than $2 per month. And if you want to get fancy, this git is sweet https://github.com/haugene/docker-transmission-openvpn

More than a decade of doing this and I finally get a letter...
If you don't have a local server in your home you can leave connected to VPN 24/7 I'd recommend doing it all through a docker container on your computer. That'll let you keep it on VPN without needing to put everything else on VPN. You could even set up two docker containers. One for the VPN and one for the torrent client, then when you turn on VPN for your regular stuff on the machine you can tunnel through that VPN without needing two take up two device slots. Here's just one option for it. But there are tons of options pre built. https://github.com/haugene/docker-transmission-openvpn Alternatively you could always set up your own if you have the know how.

Most used selfhosted services in 2022?
Interesting stuff! i've been using tranmission-ovpn and routing my other sensitive containers through that. Might be my next weekend project. Your method seems less hacky.

Torrenting and vpn on Synology NAS instead of local pc?
I used the docker-ransmission-openvpn docker image. It's basically Transmission, configured in such a way that it only runs when the VPN tunnel is active. Supports most popular VPN's.

Proxmox Homeserver
I used docker in LXC just for occasional p2p file sharing https://github.com/haugene/docker-transmission-openvpn

I'm using unraid and docker. I just setup qbittorrent/radarr/sonarr/jackett. I have mullvad VPN. How can I ensure all torrent activity stays behind the VPN?
There is a docker container with transmission going through a VPN. Automatically shuts down if VPN is off. Check it out here
