data-prototype VS CustomTkinter

haha matplotlib devs and us are BFFs, matplotlib's new software engineer in residence is a pyqtgraph maintainer funny enough. We serve different purposes so you won't catch up speaking badly of each other. That said, they're working on a new "data-prototype" which may provide a way for us to have more compatible APIs.

I like CustomTkinter. A UI library based on Tkinter, so you can also use Tkinter along with it.

All tkinter widgets with exceptio of Canvas are currently supported and ttk themed widgets used whenever possible. I plan to add support CustomTkinter eventually.

both custom tkinter and pyqt5 have somewhat "modern" looks.

If you go for tkinter, I recommend you use CustomTkinter instead. It looks much nicer with no extra effort

New GUI based on the splendid work of customtkinter: it is now possible to select files via a "Select files" button instead of the Drag&Drop function that presented several problems this new library allows for much more organized and optimized code the new interface is fully resizable and so adaptable to any screen the new interface also allows more space to add new widgets (in the future) to customize the upscale operations

There is a new library on top of tkinter, named customtkinter here Promises a lot. I have not tried it yet, as I moved to another project.
