cross-post VS github-readme-stats

Almost a year ago, I wrote about how I created a CLI tool to cross-post articles to Dev.to, Hashnode, and Medium. I created the tool because it made the process easier for me, but I also received a lot of feedback from other writers about how it was helpful for them.

Dev.to has a REST api and hashnode has a GraphQL endpoints so there must be a tool that uses these endpoints right? Yes there are couple ones. I found two actual products that you need to pay but didn’t want to go for that. And finally I found this github repo.

The final piece of my blogging infrastructure is an NPM utility called cross-post. This will take the content from the main blog (in this case, the url for my CMS environment) and post to Hashnode and Dev.to. This post is my first attempt at this, so I’m crossing fingers.

So, I created a simple CLI to cross-post my articles on these platforms easily. You can find it onNPMand check the code onGitHub.

He has github readme stats and another stats widget showing the languages used. I tried the latter for myself and it seemed to be way off.

All that is standard , let's compound this process by adding programming language stats . There's a project on github that we can embed directly into our markdown or html , but we want more so i made a recursive function to fetch all our repositories (The github readme script only fetches the first 100 repos)

You can add a lot of Anurag Hazra‘s GitHub ReadMe Stats features:

I didn't figured this on my own, the first time I learned about this feature was through the github-readme-stats project, under the responsive-card-theme section, it showed examples that I've used in my profile README and I've been also using on repositories as well.

You can also add your top repositories or your favorite projects with a title, description, preview, and link. However, there is another way you can do this without README which I will explain very soon. You can add custom styling for repositories, check it out here.
