Take a look at CourseLit on GitHub. The frontend is built using NextJS and the backend is built using ExpressJS.

next-s3-upload will get you most of the way there on the photo uploads and storage (using an S3 bucket). The example/demo is an image upload. You could then combine that with any sample next.js blog UI, including the ones in their official examples.

Also, if you interested in uploading to an S3 bucket I made an addon for Next.js to make the whole upload process a bit easier. This addon won't help you with base64, but it will help you with uploading to buckets :)
