You can experiment with virtual ship builds at the Coriolis Shipyard (coriolis.io) website, try with different ships, measure the effects of different arrangements of differently rated modules, effects of modifications and experimental effects, etc. o7

Odyssey Assistant Tool?
for building ships and such i prefer Coriolis where you can craft every ship specifically with any module (except on or two CG rewards ones that's you can't get anymore anyway) and get listings of the mats and money needed to make it a reality.

I usually use a ship-builder to play with builds and power levels, coriolis.io probably best for legacy, since edsy.org has a lot of Live-only modules.

i bought the commander pack and this will be my first journey through star & beyond, any advise from experience?
edsy.net helps you plan ship builds. It's tricky to learn but comprehensive. https://coriolis.io/ is easier to use and better to start with, but doesn't do everything edsy.net does.

All ship prices are listed on coriolis.io just add them all up ... then multiply times three (3) to have them all outfitted with mostly A-rated modules.

EDHM + EDDI + Reshade has given Elite that new feeling again, and I love it

It it just me or Oddysey cockpits went from too dark to too bright since release? This is in pitch black space. Hud visibility is the same. Horizons does much better job here in my opinion.
Agreed that it should be in the base game, but EDHM has you covered (and even has a UI version now)
