PSA: Reconciling is in the YNAB Android beta app now.

The infrastructure work that we did allows us to share significant business logic and components between iOS, Android, and the web, but each platform is entirely native (i.e. we don’t use something like Cordova or similar, to run the same app on multiple different platforms). This lets us tailor the experience to best suit each platform individually while still accelerating development, but it does also mean that the apps are not quite identical.

Nobody mentioned the web-first alternative. Building your app with ClojureScript in the browser and then turning it into a native mobile app with Cordova. I've done this successfully with PO LoopSync and Melody Generator and it works very well. Let me know if you want more info about this approach!
Building a Roguelike Game with TypeScript

Phaser has its caveats, but it has a lot of tutorials. In fact, most stuff I've implemented, I used their tutorial examples as a template. Their API documentation is a bit fuzzy and not everything will be on the first page you hit. After dwelling through GitHub, I forked a nice Cordova Phaser Template with Typescript which has some cool feature out of the box, mainly a BGM player (with Howler.js), Firebase integration and mobile platform support with Cordova on top of a webpack config with a dev server, and of course, Typescript support.

It's built with Quasar Framework, Vue.js, TypeScript and Cordova. If you are new to software development it takes a little time to pick up the basics but these are all popular tools so there are excellent documentation and tutorials for free all across the internet.

I am not sure what your target goal is, but you can take a html based solution all the way to the app store using something like Cordova - when the time comes for it.
