OPDS server on raspberry pi
1 project | reddit.com/r/Calibre | 18 Oct 2021
I have an rpi running COPS (see here). Every evening, I automatically run a job on my Win 10 computer that copies files from it to the rpi [which I have also running Samba, so it looks to the file copying software (Karen's Replicator) as if it's working with two drives on the Win 10 computer]. I access the files on the rpi on my iPad via ebook readers that understand OPDS servers. Everything works just fine for me.
Calibre and Android: Together can they Dance?

Does your NAS have an accessible server (apache or nginx ...)? Take a look at COPS (Calibre OPDS Server) . I'm running it under apache on a raspberry pi quite successfully. I'm using TiReader on an iPad to access the COPS library via wifi, but there are several Android readers that can access and download from OPDS libraries.
Has Calibre started supporting network drives yet?

On the Synology, a third program called COPS serves out the books and the web pages, so anyone in my family can browse them. COPS is an alternative to Calibre's built-in Content Server, because I turn off my laptop when I am not using it -- but the Synology is always on. https://github.com/seblucas/cops
What the heck have I gotten myself into?

I won't argue: I had to do a good bit of tinkering to get COPS (https://github.com/seblucas/cops) to work via SSH, whereas a normal Linux host would have required less fussing.
Any interesting / cool plugins? my OPNSense is so stable that it's a bit boring now...
