How to have LSPs installed with Mason automatically hook up to cmp and work?
3 projects | reddit.com/r/neovim | 22 Nov 2022
nvim-lspconfig is only for configuring the language-servers. You need to add the https://github.com/hrsh7th/cmp-nvim-lsp source to nvim-cmp in order to get lsp completions
Is it a bad config or cmp isn't as smart as VSCode autocompletion?
5 projects | reddit.com/r/neovim | 11 Oct 2022
Yep. Make sure you have cmp-nvim-lsp installed, as well as an LSP server running.

You'd need: - hrsh7th/nvim-cmp with set up LSP source (hrsh7th/cmp-nvim-lsp). - neovim/nvim-lspconfig. - R language server installed. This is a regular R package, can be installed from CRAN.

LSP omnifunc fuzzy completion?
3 projects | reddit.com/r/neovim | 30 Dec 2021
nvim-cmp is just the autocompletion engine w/ fuzzy matching and other filtering options. To get items to be filled from cmp you will need sources, for example: hrsh7th/cmp-nvim-lsp plugin will provide items from a LSP server to cmp, so you can get items you can fuzzy match in. Another one is items from buffers: hrsh7th/cmp-buffer

Hello together, First of all, I want to apologize to bother you with my config problem, but I already created an issue about this sometime ago, at the appropriate repository for cmp-nvim-lsp, but with no response, and I am getting desperate.

Nvim-ers who use any other completion plugin other than nvim-cmp , why?

Has anyone ever created a NeoVim plugin using Denops .vim? In the process of creating a plugin for NeoVim, I tried to learn about Deno, but it doesn't work. I would like to know the simple process of making a plugin. I am still a beginner in programming. But I love vim. I want to make my own plugin.

[plugin woes] Any vim-lsp-ale alternatives for built-in lsp client?
15 projects | reddit.com/r/neovim | 16 Apr 2022
I use dense-analysis/Ale for code linting. Lately, I moved to update my tab completion from deoplete to Shougo/ddc.vim; the autocompletion of Ale is routed to ddc using statiolake/ddc-ale but the Ale autocomplete leaves things to be desired.

[question] Had anyone tried ddc.vim (vs nvim-cmp)?
3 projects | reddit.com/r/neovim | 6 Feb 2022
I was looking at ddc.vim and it looked somewhat similar to nvim-cmp. There's also multiple sources for it with no inbuilt ones. So, I was wondering if anyone has used both of them and could provide some pointers on a rough comparison between the both. Also, if there's any config file with sources for lsp, buffer, and other useful ones already setup, then could you share that too?
Smarter completion in the middle of the word?
3 projects | reddit.com/r/neovim | 16 Jan 2022
Sadly deoplete doesn't play well with 'some' asynchronous plugin sources (ex: vim-iced). I still got to try ddc.vim to see if things are easier and if middle word completion is done right.

Do you use a completion plugin or use your own solution?
4 projects | reddit.com/r/neovim | 26 Sep 2021
For me I've been using deoplete.nvim for everyday use and for a long time and will probably transition to [ddc.vim](https://github.com/Shougo/ddc.vim] which is the next iteration after deoplete from the same author and is very similar to cmp in terms of setup with user customization.
