cmp-nvim-lsp: Completion source. Shows data send by the language server.

nvim-lspconfig is only for configuring the language-servers. You need to add the https://github.com/hrsh7th/cmp-nvim-lsp source to nvim-cmp in order to get lsp completions

Yep. Make sure you have cmp-nvim-lsp installed, as well as an LSP server running.

You'd need: - hrsh7th/nvim-cmp with set up LSP source (hrsh7th/cmp-nvim-lsp). - neovim/nvim-lspconfig. - R language server installed. This is a regular R package, can be installed from CRAN.

Maybe for snippets can use the same one from coq https://github.com/ms-jpq/coq.artifacts that aggregates various snippets on the internet.

From my experience, coq_nvim requires a bit on the order to call it on, in your config, you can add the auto_start option in it's setting if you don't care loading on demand. It also comes with its own snippets so having ultisnips would be useless here.
