Those include aarch64 support for our AWS AMIs, support for OpenNebula x86_64 and aarch4, and aarch64 support for our Generic (cloud-init) Cloud images/OpenStack.

We submitted the AMI to amazon. Waiting for approval. Should be within a couple of days. You can see more detail here: https://github.com/AlmaLinux/cloud-images. As you can see all the Amazon AMI stuff is in there now and the box is checked.

Livestream Questions and Answers
A: Currently, We offer a variety of cloud images for different platforms. You can find them on the Cloud Images github page at https://github.com/AlmaLinux/cloud-images. Currently there are Vagrant, Virtualbox and Libvirt images available. Public cloud images (AWS, GCE, etc.) as well as OpenStack images are in the final stages of testing and will be released shortly. If you’d like to contribute, please open a pull request. We would be delighted!

ALPINE linux as guest, copy & paste not working
I can't say why Alpine Linux doesn't have that package. My guess its due to being a security focused distro it omits it because it could be seen as a security issue. If you absolutely want to use Alpine Linux you could try building it from source (https://github.com/vmware/open-vm-tools/) or us the VMware Tools ISO: https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/1018414

Open-vm-tools v12.1.0
I am wondering if someone have news about the updates of the open-vm-tools package for Rocky Linux (v8.6 or 9) I am trying to update them to fix the CVE 2022-31676. They are available on github but need to be compiled manually (nightmare to maintain later in a professional env) and fedore released an rpm package as well.
