  • Question about Nvidia options

NVidia driver has a simple panel, but it's very limited in options. You can get more with https://gitlab.com/leinardi/gwe

Hey, just FYI, the `master` branch was already migrated to Rx 4.0.x 9 months ago: https://gitlab.com/leinardi/gwe/-/commit/1b64e99846e8463194232ea6a1a1a3bae50b6466

Previously they've requested that interested developers continue the talks in https://gitlab.com/leinardi/gwe/-/issues/195 to keep it simple, so maybe check in there. :)

What happened to the people who wanted to participate in the development according to https://gitlab.com/leinardi/gwe/-/issues/195? Were they not suitable? Or did they just disappear without comment after expressing interest?

On my system Lenovo Legion 5i i7-10750H with a RTX2060 on hybrid mode I got 15Wh. I'm starting to test with auto-cpufreq + LenovoLegionLinux + GreenWithEnvy (I hope it gets a new maintainer) setting the dGPU to 1W (which it never reaches, never less than 6w).

  • Nvidia on Linux state

I'm happy with NVIDIA on Linux for the most part. I stick with X11 for the overclocking Green with envy and g-sync, plus DLSS 2 and ray tracing works in every game I've tried besides hitman, however DLSS 3 frame generation doesn't work and no idea when/if it will.
  • GPU fan control apps? I have an EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti
    4 projects | /r/linuxmint | 23 Nov 2022
As far is I know, you need EVGA's proprietary Precision x1 software to control all fans on some GPUs (look here for more info https://gitlab.com/leinardi/gwe/-/issues/88 ). I have the same GPU as you and I have looked all over the internet for a solution to no avail. The clicking noise is quite annoying indeed, but the GPU should not overheat, normally the hardcoded fan curves should keep it within spec.
