Rokid Max Review and Many Tips
Another wonderful option is to play Nintendo 3DS games with the Citra emulator. They look incredible. I would go so far as to say that if you're a fan of the console then this is the best way to experience its games, even better than on the original hardware. Again use 3840x1200 @ 60 Hz and full SBS. In Emulation -> Configure... -> Graphics -> Stereoscopy set it to "Side by Side". Also increase the renderer internal resolution to as high as your PC can handle (I used "5x Native"). We'll also have to set the display layout for our resolution and aspect ratio. Unfortunately, this has to be done manually. Browse to %APPDATA%\Citra\config and edit qt-config.ini with this in the [display] section:

Help, so i saw on a video that to make amiibo work on citra you have to put .bin amiibo files in the amiibo folder in citra-emu folder but it isn't there
After some more research, I discovered that the Citra devs discovered and fixed this issue by allowing the Back button to open the in-emulation menu. This fix was added on Jan 22 2023. When I checked the version of Citra available on the Google Play Store on my phone, it was a very old version from May 2021, which is strange because viewing the same Play Store page on my computer shows it was updated in April 2023... maybe your Play Store version is also outdated? If so, the only solution I can think of would be to install the apk from the Citra Nightly github repo.

PSA: CITRA MMJ IS NOT OPEN SOURCE AND HAS BEEN COLLECTING USER DATA
There have been several recent changes merged for custom textures. Here is one of the pull requests for example: https://github.com/citra-emu/citra/pull/6452. The slow loading you're talking about was only an issue for me if preload custom textures was enabled.

Vulkan for Citra Official is here!

There has been a new version posted today and doesn't seem to have the crashing issues of the older version https://github.com/citra-emu/citra/actions/runs/4933706946

3DS emulation on Mac M2?
I just followed the build-it-yourself instructions here https://github.com/citra-emu/citra/wiki/Building-for-macOS and it was easy-peasy.. tried a game and it works great
Just used the instructions here https://github.com/citra-emu/citra/wiki/Building-for-macOS to build it myself. I can open it but I also get the error as soon as I try to run anything.. that my system doesn't support OpenGL. Looked in the settings but there isn't any way yet to switch to Vulkan. I think Vulkan support is coming very soon but hasn't landed yet.

You guys like 3ds emulation
That's weird, since it was implemented in November 2022 (I only know this because I was looking it up yesterday for another use case)

One of the most popular FFVI ROM hacks in Japan, Final Fantasy VI T-Edition, is now translated into English!
No, in general you should be using better emulators as you're less likely to run into issues or inaccuracies. Yes the average user won't notice problems in bad emulation, but literally the only reason to use zsnes in this day and age is if you're nostalgic for its DOS-era UI. snes9x is very standard and comes as the default core in most multi-emulator solutions like RetroArch or OpenEmu. Some even-more-accurate (but more demanding) emulators like higan (the evolution of bsnes) or Bizhawk (a multi-emulator designed for Tool-Assisted Speedruns) have extra features, but snes9x is so advanced that it's actually implemented most of them too, like MSU-1 emulation. You seriously can't go wrong with playing a game in snes9x unless you care about a missing shadow or other obscure bugs.

The talk about the NSO stuff has me thinking: What are the best N64/Genesis emulators on PC anyway?
Mupen64Plus also has a standalone version with a more traditional desktop UI over at M64P, and Genesis Plus GX is also present in other multi-core emulator setups like BizHawk

How to get n64 USB Controller to work with Mario 64?
Any emulator out there will have an input plugin that could be configured to work. I usually use the M64P packages for Mupen64Plus, because it's a clean packaging of several Mupen64Plus plugins and a GUI (and since I switch between Windows and Linux, it's convenient that it works on both). Project64 is an oldie-but-goodie, still in development. Bizhawk and RetroArch each package a bunch of emulators together and provide a nice UI.
