Am I an idiot for using audible instead of Libby or another free app?

Download and transfer Libby audiobooks through the Overdrive mobile app (even after it's demise)
TL;DR you need to set your user-agent to an ancient version of safari and then the site will give you the option to download an .odm file. Then you can use a shell script to download the book using that file.

Nice, thanks for sharing. Your audiobook-dl supports a lot of sources. I had actually found a similar script but only for Overdrive, and that's here.

Download Libby Books as MP3
Personally, I used the overdrive cli, which is really just a shell script, but not sure if that's your thing. (for mac users, it's available via brew)

Downloading and converting Overdrive (.odm) file to mp3 on MacOs Catalina 10.15.3.
I've spent a lot of time trying to find a simple solution to downloading an overdrive audiobook and converting it into mp3, but I can't figure out a way. I don't know how to code or use Terminal, but I've been trying to follow other instructions I've found. Unfortunately, nothing has worked. Here is the GitHub I was using but each time I paste the code into terminal and run it, it says:
