Everything to know about Requests v2.26.0
Starting in v2.26.0 for Python 3 the new default library for encoding detection will be charset_normalizer which is MIT licensed. The library itself is relatively young so a lot of work has gone into making sure users aren't broken with this change including extensive tests against real-life websites and comparing the results against chardet to ensure better performance and accuracy in every case.
- ✏️ Charset-Normalizer v2 - Charset Detection - x2 faster than Chardet - x3 more encoding supported! - And BC with Chardet
- Charset-Normalizer 2.0, x2 faster than Chardet, x3 more encodings supported
- Python Chardet alternative, Charset-Normalizer version 1.4 available

Revived the promise made six years ago for Requests 3
For many years now, Requests has been frozen. Being left in a vegetative state and not evolving, this blocked millions of developers from using more advanced features.

Trying to install autoscan from https://github.com/NiNiyas/autoscan and stuck with no idea what the problem is.
Looking around for similar errors I found this issue where they recommended trying to use a newer version of the urllib3 library.

Pain when going back to other languages
but I appreciate the fact that there is an issue about it, it's acknowledged and .. unfixable, it would now break too many things https://github.com/psf/requests/issues/2002
