Cathook had to update their binary signature, meaning that VAC was updated.
Everyone is wrong. look at the commit: https://github.com/nullworks/cathook/commit/b81cab2f6935530170d15d70405a3870adc03ee3. It's purely just the developers adding a function signature for sigscanning.
This is incorrect. OP's title is essentially nothing but technobabble. here is the commit in question My best guess at what this commit actually does is change the offset of part of a pointer chain. However, there is no chance that this change was meant to "update their binary signature". Such a small change would do little to change what cathook looks like to an AC, much less make it completely undetectable.

https://github.com/nullworks/cathook (Read the issues page. Yes, the fucking lowlife made the damn thing free and open source so that any asshole with some free time and a youtube tutorial can set up a botwave and piss some people off for fun)
- What is this subreddit's opinion on removing TF2's compatibility with Linux?
- How can Valve still ignore the bots after all this time?
-
Linux isn't a threat to TF2, it's a necessity.
It's this mostly: https://github.com/nullworks/cathook/
The software in question is Cathook, which is cleverly disguised as a "training software". Probably why you couldn't find it in your searches either.
