Zero-day Buildozer shell injection attack just discovered. (Oh. My. God.)
1 project | reddit.com/r/kivy | 28 Apr 2022
Problem: Buildozer ignores local recipes. Solution: "./" -> "../../../../"

Buildozer won't build apk/aab file

Build iOS-like Apps in Python
6 projects | reddit.com/r/Python | 31 Mar 2021
I believe buildozer does not work on Windows, but you can likely get around it with something like WSL or a virtual machine6 projects | reddit.com/r/Python | 31 Mar 2021
You will need to use tools like buildozer to compile your Python code into executable applications, but all of the code required is written completely in Python. Instructions for compiling Kivy are found here.
Matplotlib on Android - any way to avoid crashes or other graphs for Kivy suggestions?
2 projects | reddit.com/r/kivy | 28 Dec 2020
Hi I have an update as I got it working after searching and following this link. I also made the mistake of adding to the requirements “kivy-garden.matplotlib” rather than your recommendation. The app is now running on the android device—thanks for all the help!
How to compile Instagrapi library?
1 project | reddit.com/r/kivy | 24 Apr 2022
The supported recipes can be found in the github repository. I didn't look into the requirements you list, but probably one or more of them include code that require cross-compiling (C, C++, etc), or depend on a library written in C/C++/whatever. Creating a recipe can be anywhere from trivial to extremely difficult, only way to figure that out is to try; documentation link
Buildozer-Presplash disappears on Android here (see highlighted/time in pic) leaving awkward blank screen too long before startup. Anyone optimize this lately? I already use screen manager to load all my widgets later in app... thanks people...

Problem with astropy on android
1 project | reddit.com/r/kivy | 31 Jan 2022
Modules that contain non-python code (C, C++, Fortran, whatever) need a recipe for cross-compilation, see here. A recipe for astropy is not provided in p4a distribution, so you'd have to make one yourself.
My first app made with Buildozer crashes on start
2 projects | reddit.com/r/kivy | 6 Jan 2022
AAB support was added to python for android, see here. You may need to install the development version for this, and I don't know if it integrates with buildozer yet (or how).
Unable to load music
3 projects | reddit.com/r/kivy | 3 Jan 2022
Sorry I don't know exactly what it will take; the error may be inaccurate/incomplete. It's a bit weird to fail on this (why wouldn't it just continue using default configuration?), it's maybe a sign something else is up... It seems like sequenced audio format support is disabled in python-for-android, but left enabled in kivy-ios (albeit in a non-working state...)
Made my first app and wanted to upload it on Google Play, turns out APK's are no longer accepted and I'm completely lost
1 project | reddit.com/r/androiddev | 29 Dec 2021
Second, stop the "disappointment" BS, it's not helping at all. Check this thread on GitHub, see if it helps. Rule of thumb: your tools should be able to produce AABs and APKs. If they don't find alternatives, however hacky. Worst case scenario, use an alternative cross-platform solution, or just write native apps.
How to publish Python/Kivy games in Google Play
1 project | reddit.com/r/kivy | 26 Dec 2021
It seems you can do this with python for android master branch, aab support was merged a while back, I never tried so can't comment - there is a lot of discussion there
Using Buildozer with Conda env packages
1 project | reddit.com/r/learnpython | 14 Nov 2021
The requirements key takes a list of package names, not paths to locally installed packages. If it's a pure Python package, it'll fetch it from PyPI (through pip). If it needs some compilation (like Pandas), it'll look for a recipe.
