NormCap - Cross-platform utility to extract text from the screen
Packaging a Python application including dependencies for all platforms is another hard problem. For now, briefcase works best for me, but nuitka is a strong competitor.
-
Python to Windows Executable (py2exe, pyinstaller, cx_freeze or ?)
Another option for packaging Python apps is the BeeWare project Briefcase (https://github.com/beeware/briefcase). The only limitation that exists in your specific case is Tkinter - Briefcase doesn't support packaging Tkinter apps, but it does support Qt and Toga (BeeWare's GUI toolkit) Toga; Toga is design to be as approachable as Tkinter.
-
Creating Python Android/iOS Apps
I've found a lot of approaches and options, though Briefcase by BeeWare has been about the right level of sophistication for me.

Memory Leak when using the Game Porting Toolkit? (details in comments. Elite Dangerous.)
The Elite Dangerous Market Connector, and associated plugins, work great in Whisky. It'll open Safari upon initial launch to authenticate. After that, just launch it after the game and it'll connect with no issues whatsoever. It will not work if you launch it before the game.

How can I make my FC discoverable by Inara (and others) when in deep space?
Always run EDMC https://github.com/EDCD/EDMarketConnector when you play. It will upload market and other data for your fc as well as any other station/settlement you dock at.

NEWB starting at -1 on this!
YouTube, Reddit, and the forums are your friend, there are also many the third party sites and applications available to help you to navigate and locate facilities within the game. The most commonly recommended site is Inara and the applications recommended to support it are ED Market Connector or ED Discovery. The applications send market data that Inara use to keep track of the trade markets, they include search functions which help you to find what stations have what services, including what ships and modules are available. Inara can also track your commander data to if you make an account and link it to your Frontier account.
