- UI bug. I can't read this alert and I can't select text to copy/paste it where I could read it.
- Is there a difference between microg/aurora -vs- getting it direct from apk mirror/pure?……

No love for Edge?
Brave isn't just based off of open source though. It is open source. Here's the entire source code - https://github.com/brave/brave-browser

What’s going on with Chrome?
That's literally untrue. Micrsoft had made >1600 commits as of 2020. They are actively involved in Chromium development. Additionally, they don't have to "own" it. It's completely possible to support a fork just like Brave will be doing. I'm not going to assume your occupation/areas of interest, but I do work in software and this is just how Open Source Software works.

Rule
which will be in 2024 for full rollout, and also major forks will hardcode adblockers, not using the manifest API to get around it. also Brave will allegedly always support v2

Brave still connects to ads
You can easily find on github issues that even talk about Only make requests to *.rewards.brave.com endpoints after Rewards opt-in so it is obvious you didn't reset it like bat-chriscat said.

Firefox+ublock>brave
You could use ungoogled chromium or iridium browser, browsers less knowledged (they don't need youtubers to be adversited), and works good, plus ungoogled chromium is literally chrome without google, and iridium is brave but without all their crypto bullshit and lies.

Any open source forks for chrome desktop
Check out Iridium Browser.
- Everything isn't chrome in the future
- Possibly a stupid question - why does firefox android app have trackers?
-
Hey Guys Which Browser do you use and mention the distro and Why
Iridium Browser doesn't use much ram and it is the fastest browser I've used by far. They also claim to have some privacy stuff but I can't test that.
-
Being open-source doesn't mean shit if you don't respect the open-source philosophy
As an honourable mention, Iridium browser. I see this mentioned more in privacy focused subreddits, so I cannot speak for it at all myself, but it can be worth looking into if you're strictly after a chromium based browser.

How to get rid of this annoying white bar? I appeared when I dropped something on my keyboard and I can't get rid of it
Iridium Browser, Falkon and Otter browser are also Chromium based, decent and Ungoogled.
-
What's the most lightweight browser you know?
The fastest chromium browser is Iridium with the uBlock Origin extension installed.
