Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.

Are there any decent ORMs in Golang?
But using a query builder, something like squirrel or (plug) bqb, allows you to actually write SQL (or something close to it) when you need it but also handles the nasty string building bits. Though I agree that ORMs are not always bad, especially for small projects with well-defined scope.

GORM
Plug for bqb as a query builder, but there's also squirrel which works pretty well too.

Best packages?
(plug) bqb for very simple query building.

ORM vs SQL Builder in Go
Squirrel is great! Let me also plug bqb.

Open Source Go Projects for learning go
Plug: BQB (basic query builder) is small, 100% test coverage, and in AwesomeGo. A great starter project.

Where to find a virtual or local Go mentor?
I totally understand this. If you do go with a query builder, may I recommend bqb (shameless plug) as it allows you to remain closer to the SQL than some alternatives and doesn't do anything fancy. We stripped out 50% of our query logic with it in our org, which has enabled us to more readily tweak the SQL for performance.

Does gorm worth learning?
There's also bqb. We use it in production at our company -- much better than raw SQL. If you couple it with something like scany then you get more of the ORM benefits without the complexity.

Any "simple" projects with particularly well-written and/or well-documented code for a beginner to look through?
Another shameless plug: https://github.com/nullism/bqb pretty tiny query builder with 100% test coverage

Show HN: Workflow Orchestrator in Golang
So many tools in this space! This one looks a little bit like go-task, but it seems maybe better for production workflows because if timeout support, while go-task seems more aimed to command line work/makefile replacement.

Using Make – writing less Makefile
A similar tool is `task` https://taskfile.dev/ . It is quite capable and also a single executable. I've grown to quite like it.
If you're looking to an alternative, you could take a look at Task:

What’s with DevOps engineers using `make` of all things?
check out tasks - a bit of a learning curve but arguably more powerful imo
https://taskfile.dev/ - a mix of build tool and command runner. YAML for the Taskfiles which you might consider either a pro or con. :)

Go Development with Hot Reload Using Taskfile
That's when I came across taskfile.dev. Task is an automation tool designed to be more accessible than other options, such as GNU Make.

Poetry (Packaging) in motion
Full disclosure, I did not review Conda or Hatch fully. Not that there is anything explicitly wrong with either of them. Conda is too specific to the scientific community for my general taste. Hatch seems to go well with Conda and also uses the PyProject manifest as well. It's nice that it gives you several built in tools, similar to commit hooks, but I tend to like to roll my own via a Taskfile and run them with Poetry.
What are some alternatives?

goreleaser - Deliver Go binaries as fast and easily as possible
boilr - :zap: boilerplate template manager that generates files or directories from template repositories

grequests - A Go "clone" of the great and famous Requests library
Squirrel - Fluent SQL generation for golang
