I'm not worried about manifest v3. hblock is way better than most ad blockers because it uses your hosts file to work. In other words, it's not constantly running in the background. Web sites can't detect it and it works any browser. It's worth mentioning the equivalent on Android is AdAway.

Wishing someone stole the ads tho!
Use uBlock Origin instead of uBlock. Why? Because it is the real shit. You do not need another content blocker like adblock with uBlock Origin, just tick the included optional filters in settings and also add custom filters like those from Energized. Also, on your phone, you can simply use Firefox Android with uBlock Origin.

If filtering is done locally on the device itself (i.e. like in AdAway, DNS66, NetGuard or personalDNSfilter) it's not.
I switched to AdAway once the whole VPN/"reading your private connection requests" advertising came up in Blokada.
- For those without paid Reddit, the Kardashians TV show has invaded our lives without our consent. I will not ever watch this show and actively hope for it's destruction.

On Android you can use a adblocker app like Adaway, or change your DNS setting to something like AdGuard DNS or NextDNS, or ditch the Reddit app entirely and install Firefox + uBlock Origin and use the Reddit website instead of the app.
