Playing VTM purely text based
I'm part of a server that's been running purely text-based VtM roleplay for, uh, something like 15 years at this point. IRC for years and years, and now on Discord. Yes, it can absolutely work! Get yourself a decent bot. If you're using V5 - Thirst is where it's at. For V20 - Masquerade is a decent one and a friend is building one for our server that's awesome, though it's still in Alpha. https://github.com/OdinMB/SanguinusVtM . You can use digital whiteboards and floorplans and such where needed. We always put a lot of our city worldbuilding and rules info on a wiki, it helps a lot and the players can make their own character pages.
