Back when I used a debian based distribution I made use of https://bedrocklinux.org/ to make use of the AUR. It's not for everyone though.

Statically built Nix on Alpine Linux #6751 (2022)
Now this is interesting... apparently it is possible to run Nix AKA "The Nix Package Manager" on Alpine -- despite the fact that Alpine is Busybox and Musl based and NixOS is Coreutils and Glibc based!
Well done Nix engineers and contributors!
(I may switch to Alpine w/Nix Package Manager in the future, depending on how well it works!)

Sure, just install Bedrock Linux and add the Arch stratum on top

openSUSE MicroOS will be renamed soon. Throw in your suggestions below.
There's a Bedrock Linux distro already...

What are some of the more innovative linux distributions?
Bedrock Linux. It is allows you to make a system out of various seemingly-incompatible parts of other distros. I haven't gotten around to trying it myself, but it's really cool.
-
Seamlessly run other Linux distributions inside your terminal
If you want to actually use multiple distributions at once integrated tightly into each other (like using Ubuntu with AUR packages) I highly recommend https://bedrocklinux.org/. It uses some chroot and symbolic link magic to share files across filesystems.

If so is this kind of like how projects like https://bedrocklinux.org/ work?

Arch Linux bugtracker migration to Gitlab completed
Arch sends distribution news every week or so, usually in one or two paragraphs.
I've followed the gitlab migration and every package and distribution change that warranted community notification for more than a decade.
It's such an empowering feeling to have tracked all the changes to the distribution over a decade. The Arch maintainer culture has managed to provide consistent high quality communication and documentation.
Most of the news doesn't require action on my part regarding a subsystem or package I don't use. But they use the news channel sparingly and the distribution is minimal and clean. So news arrives only every other week or so and is succinctly written in one or two paragraphs.
It's a distribution for those who love precision and professionalism.

Moving from Mint to Arch
When searching for something just add Arch Linux to the and follow official archlinux.org and use duckduckgo.com for better results. You will get amazed how good arch wiki explained everything and how aur has very large apps.

Linux saved my life
And just wait till you discover Arch Linux, Gentoo, Guix, or NixOS.
- Do you think Pop!_OS should be re-named to "Cosmic" when the new DE comes out?

Asahi Noob here: Any ideas on what causes this behavior?
github.com doesn't have any AAAA dns records so it probably doesn't support IPv6, which is what you're using to connect to archlinux.org. If you run ip a does your main interface have a IPv4 address assigned like 10.0.0.x or 192.168.1.x?

How to find the download command for a program.
You were already on https://archlinux.org. Top right, there's a package search function. Also, click AUR top part, and you get similar search functionality for AUR.

Considering Arch for future use but have one concern
I have a computer system I don't touch very often (maybe once every six, travel computer, not a laptop). Whenever I upgrade the computer I always check for things on archlinux.org to make sure I don't need any additional steps. I've only had one thing needed in the last year which is the same for my primary desktop. Single line copied direct from the official web page and it was done. My primary desktop has only needed a single user interaction as well over the last year.
