I'm currently using it as an interface for Baby Buddy, which has a pretty great Home Assistant integration for tracking feedings, diaper changes, etc. for my newborn.

Baby Buddy[0] just turned five and I’m still hacking away on it! Well mostly reviewing PRs and helping contributors. I get a great deal of enjoyment out of interacting with its users and contributors.

More of a hobby project than commercial but at least it hits close to home for those of us with babies Baby Buddy is a project to track baby feedings, diapers, etc.

I figured all those “free” (and possibly even the paid) baby apps were likely doing all sorts of shady things with that data. One thing for me to use a period/fertility tracker for myself - quite another to throw my child’s data up to god knows who for god knows what ends long before he could possibly consent.

If you don’t know why it matters how many diapers there have been in the last 24 hours and what kind of mess was in there, along with how often and how much milk was consumed, you’ve obviously not been the primary caretaker of an infant recently. If you don’t know why you’d want an app for that, ditto - “mommy brain” is real.

Pro-tip: set up and test your Baby Buddy instance well before your due date - including having your partner try using it on their device.

The control panel is called Homepage. I like it more than Heimdall. To manage Docker I use Portainer.

I prefer using Heimdall

Fo example, Heimdall is a dashboard, a polygon validator node, and an Android firmware flasher. All of which are quite popular projects

There are generally 3 types of start pages ones that have add-ons, simple html sites ("demos") and self hosted start pages. Installing the add ons should be simple and can be applied to both your homepage/new tab.

Heimdall Nice to set up, cool UI No LDAP or SSO Support Available users are publicly visible, which would be kind of "not-so-nice" for a public facing dashboard. Applications have to be added manually for each user (as far as I can tell).
