PlantUML is extensible, so we can create or import custom elements to use in our diagrams. One example is the AWS Icons for PlantUML. It has elements to represent most of the main AWS Services.

Embed excalidraw in Emacs?
https://github.com/misohena/el-easydraw is a cool proof of concept, but on installing it was practically unusable for me. Probably some setting on the preview size made the canvas too small, and the mouse did not line up with the icons to add things to the canvas. Still, amazing this is even possible!

I am kinda surprised there is not a huge FOSS competitor in the PDF "Annotation" field
And with org-noter one can easily interface with org-mode, and then maybe some more.
