Clarification on integration and E2E stage in a pipeline
As for the integration test: those are "just" API calls which is pretty expected for integration tests: it "just" tests an API which might use some other back-end services. You test those one by one.

I don't want to tag Docker images with a BuildId
I’ve used release candidates for feature branches (appending ADO build ids) and stable version numbers for main branches. ACR didn’t used to have the same retention policy control as AWS so I created this repo for cleaning up release candidate versions from ACR after merging feature branches into main: https://github.com/desholmes/acr-tag-deleter
