Browser Tab Hoarding: How do you organize/archive your research? Trying to reach Tab Zero.
Not to be an enabler or anything, but have you tried Auto Tab Discard? Only active tabs will be loaded, so you can have thousands upon thousands of tabs without any impact on memory usage or performance.

That's true.
Also https://github.com/rNeomy/auto-tab-discard, which despite the name, doesn’t close tabs, it just unloads them from memory.

Is there any addon that suspends/ hibernates tabs and restores them back when required like in Chromium based browsers there's "the great suspender" or "tiny suspender" and keeps a copy of tabs suspended as backup file on device?
I'm using Auto Tab Discard for very fine control but it is not needed most of the time. FF does this automatically now via Tab Unloading
- Edge like sleeping tabs possibility with userChrome.js?

Overcoming Tab Overload
Thanks for your reply. It's good to hear that Tabs Outliner is a favorite for other power users out there. Interesting that you had a great synergy between it and The Great Suspender. I myself hadn't ever used The Great Suspender before hearing about it's recent demise. It sounded pretty useful, and upon looking for alternatives, I discovered the cross-browser extention Auto Tab Discard. FYI: https://github.com/rNeomy/auto-tab-discard

Ask HN: Why is Chrome so awful on OS X?
I'd call myself a power user when it comes to browsers and tabs.
I had exactly the same thoughts a few months ago, but having 500+ tabs open and getting a few system freezes for a few seconds I thought that's how it is. Even though I'm running it on a 2019 Pro with 16 GB.
But then I gave Firefox a new shot and it's amazing. I'm currently sitting at 547 tabs and I can even play YouTube videos via the picture in picture mode without any problems while building an Docker image.
You should definitely use an addon for discarding tabs. I'm currently using "Auto Tab Discord"[1] which is kinda the same what "The Great Suspender" was. Additionally I can recommend "Tab Session Manager"[2] if you're having an addition to tabs like me. Both are available for Chrome and Firefox.

Too many chrome tabs....
It can be controlled via the extension policy stuff in the admin console, here's the schema file.

I no longer trust The Great Suspender
I recently switched to Auto Tab Discard.[1] It uses the browser's built-in tab suspending. It doesn't have all the features of TGS, though.

Fedora Xorg Touchpad Fedtures
Xorg cannot do that, there is nothing that gnome devs could do to make it do that. You can try this or this for Xorg.

[PopOS] Linux Pinch-Zoom Gesture Not Working?
You can try using this library. I installed Pop OS using the same wiki too. Were you able to use the mic toggle using the method given there? It's not working for me. Also, CPU runs a bit hot compared to Windows and battery life is just 2 hours with integrated graphics.
What are some alternatives?
touchegg - Linux multi-touch gesture recognizer
thegreatsuspender - A chrome extension for suspending all tabs to free up memory
gnome-shell-extended-gestures - Better touchpad gesture handling for GNOME
RecipeFilter - Browser extension that focuses recipes front and center on food blogs
gnome-shell-extension-x11gestures - Enable GNOME Shell multi-touch gestures on X11 with this extension
min - A fast, minimal browser that protects your privacy
tab_suspender_firefox - A very lightweight tab suspender that reduces an overall memory usage of firefox, uses firefox native discard api
xdotool - fake keyboard/mouse input, window management, and more
ff-thegreatsuspender - Firefox port of a chrome extension for suspending all tabs to free up memory
winger - Window Manager: A Firefox web extension for switching windows and moving tabs between windows
tabist - Simple Tab Manager Extension for Chrome and Firefox.
