https://github.com/austintgriffith/scaffold-eth is a great ethereum boilerplate project that uses yarn workspaces in a monorepo, its a pretty standard practice that I've seen in the NFT/blockchain dev space.

I'm a fullstack JS developper, i've working and looking heavily into building on ethereum, so this is my first dive into the space. I would love some feeback from more senior devs on this, on the React and Dapp part. It is heavily based on scaffold-eth (and some Uniswap-interface code reading) so I'd recommend starting there if you're starting out rather than my starter, the docs and content there are first class. The stack is just the stack i am used to working with: Tailwind UI, Typescript and Redux Toolkit, and more. I'll be adding more examples other than the Greeter soon. So using the Binance Volatility Bot you could create a trading strategy that would scan ALL coins on an exchange, and buy any coin that gained more than say, 3% in the last 5 minutes. You could also test your strategy and figure out where this sweet spot is - what's the threshold at which price change and % gained signal a significant increase.

The Binance Volatility Bot was thus born and people were quick to fork or configure and use their own. The bot would essentially allow you to scan all assets on Binance and Buy any asset that say gains more than 4% in the last 6 minutes. You could configure it to look for any level of volatility, and any timeframe, for ALL assets on the exchange.

It's around this idea that the Binance Volatility Bot was born. It was a relatively simple trading bot that’s meant to help traders detect surging assets, ride the uptrend and sell at the top. It works by allowing the user to input several configuration options but the main ones are: Price Change and Timeframe.

The project got a lot of attention on Reddit and GitHub, and a community was quickly created to improve and explore the tool.

This started in March 2021 when I shared on Open Source trading algorithm that I had made, that was supposed to detect the most volatile coins on Binance and algorithmically place a trade. You could for instance tell it to do stuff like: "Buy any coin that gains more than 3% within 5 minutes". You would then be able to also give it a stop loss, take profit and a trailing stop loss. The post blew up a the time and a lot of people wanted to get involved with the project. The GitHub repository (ie source code) for the project quickly gained over 3000 stars and became one of the top repos on Gh at the time.

The project is not open source. Just like Cryptohopper, 3Commas and other algo trading software out there. It does have an opensource counterpart, that is available here: https://github.com/CyberPunkMetalHead/Binance-volatility-trading-bot
