Ubuntu 21.10 has landed
On KDE i can just use my scroll wheel on a tray icon and change volume or screen brightness quickly. On windows those require extra clicks. I can open the tray icon for audio options and quickly change input and output devices and their volume. On windows i can only change output device volume quickly and have to change default output device to change its volume. On win7 it used to present multiple volume sliders for each audio device. I can even choose which audio device each application should use, something that requires a 3rd party application on windows(i think i used https://github.com/audiorouterdev/audio-router).

Man am I the only one who desperately want Dev's to add audio routing for each application natively..?
check this out, really easy and effective!
OP, the SIMPLEST way to this is right here, a small app from github that let's you re-route your audio from each app to any audio outputs you have.

Looking at you Space Engineers and Minecraft
Also -- do yourself a huge favor and download Audio Router. It's open source and it lets you change the audio output device of any application on the fly, even if said application doesn't have a setting for that (like Minecraft or Firefox or Jackbox games -- it always a struggle getting it to output from the TV after I plugged it in until I downloaded that).

Why can't I hear any audio outside Cubase when Cubase is running, and how do I fix it?
The routing is going to depend on your interface and may cause performance issues if you do manage to get it all sorted. The quickest solution is to put a tablet next to you on the desk. But if you are determined check out Virtual Audio Cable http://software.muzychenko.net/eng/vac.htm and Dante Virtual Sound Card https://github.com/audiorouterdev/audio-router

Calibre – New in Calibre 7.0
https://github.com/kovidgoyal/calibre
I just noticed that Calibre is referred to as an eBook manager, which is more in line with what I was talking about in some sense. All of that should fall under `eBook Manager`
