Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

WLED SR, reacting without any sound by default too.
https://github.com/atuline/WLED/wiki/Squelch-and-Gain also double check your ground and data connections on the mic.

- I made a (free, no ads) ear training/interval training app to help me practice. Thought you guys might find it useful :)

LED Light Strip for Range Hood Border Analog Switch?
If you really want to customize things, you can install the sound-reactive version of the WLED firmware on something like this. From there, you can interface with the different modes directly with pushbuttons, WLED Android/iOS apps, JSON and HTTP request APIs, MQTT, Blynk IoT, E1.31, Art-Net, DDP and TPM2.net, Hyperion, UDP realtime, Alexa voice control, Philips Hue, Adalight (PC ambilight via serial) and TPM2, UDP notifier sync, and Infrared remotes.

I have ESP32, INMP441 microphone, WS2811 and WS2812B leds, running sound reactive WLED fork: https://github.com/atuline/WLED/wiki This will sync with music, standalone.

Need Help Figuring Out The Problem in Switching from Arduino to ESP8266 for My LED Display.
Me? I started up a sound reactive fork of WLED at https://github.com/atuline/WLED which now does all that and then some, such as 2D, an interpreter, segments and more.

where to find good animations/text for led matrix
Scott is pretty good at stepping you through things. His readne gives you some good pointers on how to set it up He even mentions how to adjust the number of rows and columns. If this all sounds a bit overwhelming. You have two choices: Make your set up as close to Scott's as you can and follow his steps blindly to mimic what he's built. Or Build your Arduino skills up. Start with getting the simple fastled examples to work. Once working, try and make changes to the code to customise the examples. This is the best way to learn. And if you get stuck on one of the examples every one is here to help. Finally, Scott gives some great tutorials to quickly get you up to speed Have fun
Scott Marley (u/djbog) is your matrix man. He has some code over at github These look like the libraries that should help you with the scrolling text.
