Aseprie is "Soucre-Available" or however you call it. Last time I checked Libresprite it was very outdated and almost dead, but there seem to be much more activity there now. I definitely can recommend them.4 projects | reddit.com/r/SteamDeck | 11 Jan 2022
I have also seen Aseprite being recommended. It looks nice and I'm sure it works well, but it is not open source unfortunately. There is an open source alternative called LibreSprite, which seems to mimic Aseprite quite closely.

I tried to create a very rich and atmospheric game, with music matching visuals and cool visual effects. I used viewports (for mesh instance textures), custom shaders and custom particle shaders -A lot of the particle systems use shader code from my Turbulence PR.

This is not a bug. It happens because resources are shared between all of the objects (even if they are copies), if you change one, it will change the others. To avoid that you can either:

Sadly, the dynamic sky leads to heavy frame drops as it needs around 12 ms at the lowest settings for me and it seems that you cannot put it in a separate thread. But With 4.0 it should be solved :) https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues/19030
