All I want for Christmas is
ArkOS is very similar to JELOS, and can do this via Quick Mode. If you also go into Start > Advanced Settings and switch On the Switch Power Button Tap to Off setting, it's pretty handy. No Quick Mode -like function in JELOS... yet.

A few questions from a new rg535m owner who only has previous experience with the v90.
I don’t have a 353m, but a device with the same chipset. Custom firmware is highly recommended on the Linux side. Anbernic’s stock software is never great. For the 353 devices, ArkOS and Unofficial OS are available and both offer similar features. I went with ArkOS and I am very happy. https://github.com/christianhaitian/arkos/wiki

353P arrives tomorrow - A few questions if you don't mind
1 - ArkOS has no official support for RG353P. AFAIK the 353M image should work fine, though. https://github.com/christianhaitian/arkos/wiki. There is also UnofficialOS, which is basically JELOS (won't get into detail). The difference is just the version of EmulationStation each one uses. JELOS uses a newer (not necessarily better) version of EmulationStation that allows you to change scaling options, video shaders and other RetroArch stuff in EmulationStation. ArkOS is more RetroArch centric and uses a cleaner version of EmulationStation. I prefer ArkOS, since I find it a lot easier just to change RetroArch configs in RetroArch itself. On UnofficialOS I found it hard to understand if EmulationStation configs would override what I changed in RetroArch or not.
