archcraft VS programs

try a few different ones that comes preinstalled with a window manager - window managers are all slightly different so it comes down to which one you prefer to use If you want to try Bspwm you can check out Archcraft - it comes preinstalled with bspwm and openbox and several themes

If you don't want to configure it yourself, use an already configured setup like Archcraft.

I'm using Openbox for the first time, it has been working wonderfully. I've decided to take some configuration from Archcraft, (mostly to make my base Arch install look a bit better) however the pipemenu seems to not work.

This might not be popular here, but archcraft could be a good starting point to get into WMs, as it's basically arch but with openbox and all the stuff you might want pre-installed. I don't have too much experience with it though, so I can't say how it compares to a custom setup in terms of performance.

Anyway, I want to install archcraft and I've been getting a black screen during live boot. Fortunately, the fix is well known and its documented in the official wiki... Unfortunately I don't understand the instructions:

To complete my view, I am not a big fan of how the bug are managed as in this issue where EA launcher is not working as intented and is still considered Platinum one year later...

In Bottles there is a "program installers" feature. One of the programs on that list is FL Studio which you can get via 1 click (here is the script that runs internally when you do that: https://github.com/bottlesdevs/programs/blob/main/Software/flstudio.yml)

I have put some work on a bottles LoL installer here. For it to be ready, some stuff needs to be ironed, but the majority of the installer is already there.

It looks like the only officially supported program that isn't a game is amazon music [1]. The main project for running windows on Linux has a partially working distribution of Office 365. My impression is that it sometimes works with significant manual effort, wouldn't be reliable enough to depend on without a backup system [2].

When I need Office apps to communicate with clients I use a combination of Google Docs download as docx, Office Online, and a VM.
