Frustration with Linux'y installs... just venting....
I'm not sure why you said it is difficult to distribute Flatpaks outside of Flathub. On the repo host side elementary has their own Flatpak repo complete with an app payment system (before even Flathub has one). On the user side I can simply download a .flatpakref from appcenter.elementary.io and double click it, which will open Software with the app's metadata, and clicking Install will add the repo and install the app.

What is your ONE Steam Deck tip/trick you'd like to share?
You probably know that if you use desktop mode, you can use Discover to install a bunch of applications via Flatpak from a repository called Flathub. But, you can add an additional repository from another distro, Elementary OS, to get access to even more apps. They will show up in Discover, just like all others. To do this, simply execute:

AppCenter rules, app emigration, community effort, and platform compromises
As long as I've been using elementary OS, apps came and went from AppCenter. At the time of writing this post, 144 apps are not available in AppCenter for elementary OS 6.1. If you dig down a little bit into the repos of those apps, you start to see the problems.

Looking for a new project, consider looking at legacy elementary OS AppCenter apps

The worst part of the Steam Deck? Launchers.
For most of them, use Boilr. Sometimes it doesn’t work, or the launcher isn’t supported, then you gotta look up “How to add X launcher games to steam”.

Yet another Steam Deck settings guide (30fps)
I unfortunately haven't used steam rom manager before. I'll take a look into it if I get some spare time today and update this comment with how to do it. I use an app called BoilR to add my non-steam games and download artwork for them. You can read about it on it's GitHub page. It may be a bit more technical but I like it better since it adds the emulators rather than the games. This so I don't have my steam library filled with duplicates of my games between yuzu stable and yuzu-ea, if that makes sense.

How do I add artwork to a Non-Steam Remote Play game in my Steam library?
You could try BoilR, which is what I use to add non-Steam games to the Steam UI. If you supply a SteamGridDB API key then it will let you specify multiple types of images for each game.
-
I made a script to install all of your Non Steam Game Launchers on the Steam Deck (Epic,GOG, Battle.net,Origin and Ubisoft. Any help to get this on Decky Loader would be helpful as well as any help to add to this script to make it better.
This is not a trick question, I’m genuinely curious: why would I go for this solution rather than something like Heroic/Lutris + BoilR, which adds the individual games directly into Steam and bypasses the launchers?
