I will have a lot of free time in August, as a beginner, how should I increase my daily time learning Japanese?
Though I'd recommend getting a textbook like Genki and just working through the exercises in there. That way you'll learn gramar and put it into use right away, so you wont forget it. Plus the exercises are fun! There's audiofiles and everything. You can also do the exercises here https://sethclydesdale.github.io/genki-study-resources/lessons-3rd/

What should I know before I start studying with the Genki books?
You should buy the answer keys and workbook. However, there is a great online resource here https://sethclydesdale.github.io/genki-study-resources/lessons-3rd/ which has most of the exercises available and checks the answers automatically for you. So you may be able to save money and skip the workbook and answer key if you want.
