Best option just for minimal web browsing?
"Free" OpenVPN is nothing special, you can just run the PiVPN or Angristan's OpenVPN script on any of those VPSes. Ultra.cc's built-in VPN only support up to 3 simultaneous session, while those scripts allow unlimited sessions (at least until you maxed the CPU with hundreds of MBps transfer), you can get faster speed & lower latency with WireGuard on PiVPN, or using Angristan's WireGuard script, if your ISP tries to block OpenVPN & WireGuard, you can use Outline etc.

Just here to say Ryujinx LDN3 + CFW Switch LDN_MTM play works fine in Pokemon SV :)
As the switch can‘t run a vpn, what I think what could work are some things like: - Connect your routers via vpn together, if possible, start the emulator and try to connect from the switch - install a vpn server on the emulator pc or in the network, (openvpn, or wireguard e.g. maybe you got a rasperry pi, you could use some easy installer like https://github.com/angristan/openvpn-install now connect the emulator pc to the vpn server, now we need the switch in the vpn tunnel, this may could be reached either by connecting your router to the tunnel (if you got a good one it could be possible) or what I also could imagine is to go to your PC, you need 2 wifi sticks or 1 stick and 1 ethernet cable and start a hotspot from your windows PC, conmect your switch to this hotspot and then connect your pc to the vpn tunnel. I didnt tested it, but I think this could work… - rent a server (windows or linux) start ryujinx or lanplay and install a vpn server on it, connect to vpn via PC (emulator) and via router (on switch site) and try some steps like above suggested.

How to Setup Open VPN in Ubuntu 22.04
Manual installation and configuration of an OpenVPN server is a tedious work. To streamline the process, we will use a third-party installer script from GitHub: angristan/openvpn-install. The script supports a wide range of operating systems and architectures.

Question about setting VPS to use it as VPN
openVPN is considered more stable as it exists for longer, you can easily install it with this script: https://github.com/angristan/openvpn-install

Why I Like Obsidian
Tried Obsidian for a while, loved a lot about it, but....mmm.
Obsidian out of the box is a bit limited; plugins are great and add tons of features, but then you start hitting issues with plugin maintainers abandoning plugins you rely on, or needing to make a decision between three different plugins that all do the same thing slightly different. Depending on your use case and expectations that may not be a big deal, but I really missed not having what I personally saw as core features not being officially supported.
(Also, FWIW, the sync service is a bit pricy for what it is. I get that it's how they're trying to monetise it, but...I would have preferred another pricing model, even if the total cost was just as high.)
I've personally switched to Trilium Notes which I'm finding nicer. One element I particularly like is that it has first class suport for notes being able to exist at multiple places in a tree simultaneously. I know it's a very personal thing, but for me personally being able to file notes in multiple locations "clicks" in a way that tags didn't.

I move between machines a lot and prefer an online tool; I'm self-hosting Trilium Notes https://github.com/zadam/trilium ; this looks a bit cleaner but without syncing (or server-side storage) it misses a bunch of potential use cases.

Alternative to Joplin that is web-based based?

Does anyone have a good note-taking system?
To my understating, you can pay to have Obsidian notes sync. I know nothing of the security around the encryption. One of the main reasons that I went with Joplin Notes over Obsidian is that Joplin gave me the ability to sync without paying for access to a server that I don't know well enough to trust. There is also Trilium notes (https://github.com/zadam/trilium). However, that did not over a sync feature last time I looked into it. I actually tried Trilium notes before I ultimately went with Joplin Notes.
