Does the v31 Logic really just manually cross-reference items recursively for distribution?
The code is open source, you can just go read it if you want to see how it actually works: https://github.com/sporchia/alttp_vt_randomizer
v31 logic is all defined here: https://github.com/sporchia/alttp_vt_randomizer/tree/master/app/Region/Standard

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Release
It definitely is, but if you are looking for a challenge, I think the randomizer is pretty fun https://alttpr.com/
- If you could experience a video game for the first time again, what would it be?

What's everyone working on this week (46/2022)?
I've been working on a reimplementation of the A Link to the Past Randomizer as a rust library. There's a lot that rust brings to the table outside performance but mostly the randomization part is basically this constraint solving problem where the more interesting things you want to be able to do, the more sophisticated your model has to be, and the more work that needs to be done to ensure a valid, beatable configuration. So rust offers a way to more finely design our data structures from basic primitives

What series have you found to scratch that Zelda itch that botw just cannot cover?
Randomizers (specifically alttpr)are some of the coolest hacks out there. You can do so many things, including insane mix-ups like Door Randomizer. You can even Multiworld with your friends.

What video game is an absolute 100/100 in your opinion?
All the info you'll need is here: https://alttpr.com/

Arguably the oldest video game that holds up the best today.
Check out /r/alttpr for the subreddit and https://alttpr.com for information about the randomizer. Lots of beginners post their times where, so it's not like you have to be an expert to participate in the community.

Zelda3 Reimplementation on Miyoo Mini
Hi! I was wondering if it is possible to port the Link to the Past reimplementation (https://github.com/snesrev/zelda3) to work natively in the Miyoo Mini. I know there is a port do Switch and to Vita. Anyone know if it's at least possible?

Reverse Engineered Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past runs perfectly on SteamDeck...
But from their GitHub notes:

A link to the Past [ Pc Port]
I gave it a quick try out of sheer curiosity and it worked nice and effortlessly as the launcher handled the entire process of setting up zelda3.
The real project is this: https://github.com/snesrev/zelda3

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past has been ported to PC, including 16:10 display support!
I get your point, but there are other contributors to the project. The post links a fork of the original repo, and the original repo lists 19 contributors. But snesrev seems to have been the biggest one of them.
- How do you set up the PC port of A Link to the Past on Steam Deck?
-
Nintendo classic 'Zelda: A Link to the Past' gets an unofficial PC port | It has key enhancements like widescreen support, faster transitions and pixel shaders.
So it appears it possible according to the dev. https://github.com/snesrev/zelda3/issues/219
