  • AllMyLights MQTT message?
    1 project | /r/nodered | 6 Oct 2022
I'm tinkering with getting MQTT messages to trigger the lights on my computer all in one (Cosair). I have discovered [AllMyLights](https://github.com/sparten11740/allmylights) but I am unsure what the payload should consist of. I keep getting the error "Sink OpenRGBSink received type System.String it cannot handle. Please provide a System.Drawing.Color or a string containing a profile name." I have tried injecting a json object with the payload of {"Green"} (profile name). I have also tried "{"Profile": "Green"} and even just "Green" as a standard string all receiving the same error.

  • Local MQTT in smart IR remote - how best to organize topics?
    3 projects | /r/homeautomation | 27 Dec 2020
I have written several MQTT bridges for my own use, including one to Harmony Hub (https://github.com/i8beef/HomeAutio.Mqtt.Harmony). I bring this up, because I think the MQTT topic approach I use here could be a good example for you as I support the full gamut of options exposed by Harmony, which should be a pretty close approximation of your problem space.
